Silly? yes!

We love this place, it's so quiet and green.

Last weekend

It started with a visit to the dentist. This is Charlie with a "sleepy cheek" :-)

A good start to the day

There are lots of possibilities for a good start...

I'm going to list couple of them here...in pictures.

This one is definitely one of the best starts because of the beautiful environment.









Doing some workout is not a bad idea either.












Swimming would be one of my favourite ones....

Run and jump!

Both can be fun if you are a "jumpful" kind of person :-) If you don't know what it means: it's a rare mixture between .......well, all the good things you feel like doing when you are full of energy.







Do some stretching first .......





...and then start off with small steps















Try to listen to the birds, look at the sky and enjoy the fresh air at the same time.....or don't you like multitasking???

As soon as you find the next playground, try to chase all the people away first. There are lots of different ways of doing that. Our favourite one is the well established so-called garlic method. It works as follows: take the fresh garlic out of the special garlic-bag, (which you should always carry with you, just in case...) and start eating it as if it were an apple. Don't forget to take a deep breath every now and then and exhale as strongly as you can. That works wonders and you can start enjoying your free space soon after finishing your delicious meal. Lovely! ;-)

It wasn't necessary to exercise it on that afternoon though.......the place was quiet and empty,hmmmmmmmm :-( Actually, I love crowded playgrounds....oh well, never mind.

We love football

This was a refreshing monday afternoon.





It's been snowing a little bit in the morning and it's very chilly .......but nice.









The air is full of wonderful spring-scents. I wish we could sleep outside sometime soon. It would be so beautiful to wake up in the morning and see the endless sky.....I love that.

Camping without a tent is the best thing to do. No borders, no walls, just the nature and us. *dream*

What to do............

.......when your children are "being difficult" (which usually means that they don't agree with their parents ).

This is what happened on Sunday:

me: "Let's go out on our bikes!"

Charlie: "Oh no........I want to stay at home."

Nicky: "No, I don't want to...."

me: "Come on, you'll like it. I'll show you a nice place I found today ."

Nicky: "I'm sure we won't like it."

Charlie: "That's right, Mummy, we won't like it at all.....so can we stay at home, please?"

me: "Let's give it a try."

After repeating all this 38738713 times, we did finally manage to get out of the house. There they were, sitting on their bikes and looking extremely uncontent. Then I had an idea. I bought a nice "raincoat" couple of days ago. I had it with me and decided to put it on.

Well, that certainly did cheer them up quite a bit. They started laughing so hard, we had to take a little giggle break :-)

People on bikes

The weather was so capricious today: it kept changing it's mind all day long! It was cold but dry all morning. As soon as we started off ( on our bikes) it started raining and getting darker, because of the clouds. When we arrived, it suddenly stopped raining and the sun came out.














"What a perfect timing!", I thought to myself. It wasn't that cold anymore and we started hoping that it'll stay like this for the rest of the day.

This wonderful sunshine did last for exactly 30 minutes,
which is not too bad......BUT: after that the rain started coming down in sheets and we arrived home, completely soaked through.

Charlie couldn't move his fingers for a while because they were all frozen, poor thing!

I think the nature was making fun of us.As soon as we entered the house, the sun came out again and it stayed dry untill the end of the day.

A chilly day

The temperature fell and the winter came back.

We went out anyway....and this is what we did:

1.Kept jumping up and down in order to keep warm,






2.pulled some funny faces,













3. found some creative ways of jumping off the log,














4. played tag,










5. climbed up the mountains,











and 6.did some dancing in the rain.











When we finally got back home, there were lots of
delicious platters awaiting us.

Well, I never!-->Charlie did secretely eat all the peas up.

Basketball

Dear friends,

some of you were concerned about Nicky because she wasn't on yesterday's pictures.

Here comes the explanation:

Nicky didn't come with us yesterday



because she was busy playing basketball :-) She will be there all week: it's a basketball camp at school. She leaves in the morning and comes back around 7 p.m. On monday she was feeling ill but she became "the best player of the day" anyway :-) She went to bed very early and is now feeling a bit better.I hope she'll manage to get through the week healthy and strong.
